I've been having a very interesting discussion with my brother in law over on his blog regarding education. We're more specifically talking about unschooling, which is the practice of homeschooling without following a curriculum, and homeschooling in general.
The discussion touches on a lot of the questions that come up when homeschooling or unschooling are discussed. You can follow the exchange there, but I thought I would take the opportunity to actually post some content to this blog and to my website.

I just signed up for facebook today. Classmates.com was really starting to bug me. Lots of features, but everything costs.
If you found my profile because I sent a friend request, feel free to add or not add me. I think the requests were mostly automatic based on my email contact list. gmail is pretty greedy with email addresses, so if you have no idea who I am, disregard everything.
I'm hooked on Google. I've registered a domain name and I'm using hosting services from GoDaddy.com. I tried to set up forwarded email addresses half a dozen times but they never came through. Registering for Google apps and setting up my new email addresses took about 20 minutes. Couldn't have been simpler and I'm totally integrated with my existing Google account. Boo ya.
GoDaddy offered a single email account with 10 megs of storage. Google offers 50 email accounts with 2 gigs of storage EACH.
Any questions?
